What I was looking for in a lender partner experience, as an agent, was not what I experienced. At the end of this transaction, I felt exhausted, defeated, and unable to be a true agent for my client. The client that I referred to this team.
The MLO's unwillingness to provide clear transparent information with regard to fees impeded my ability to add value to the conversations between me and my client. I was told that the math was "complicated" I was also told that this was my "first deal" which was incorrect.
This experience did however encourage me to take and pass the NMLS exam and started me on the journey of originating loans so that I can provide a quality, teamwork based experience to other agents regardless of what I THINK they experience level or skillset is. So for that, I'm grateful.
